The largest city in New Zealand that will return to the lock for the new COVID-19 case

New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland, is back in a seven-day deadlock after a new coronavirus case broke out.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced the move on Saturday, with officials continuing to work to identify the origin of the coronavirus in this case, Reuters reported.

Countries have closely monitored virus variants in the United Kingdom, Africa and Brazil.

Officials say the patient was infectious on Sunday and visited several public places before realizing two days later that he was showing symptoms.

For next week, city residents will be allowed to go shopping or for essential works. The rest of the country has second-level blockages and will not allow large gatherings.

New Zealand saw several cases of coronavirus earlier this month, with three cases being the coronavirus variant in the UK

There is evidence that the British version is more contagious and deadly than previous versions.

Officials are trying to see if the new case is related to previous cases.

New Zealand has more than 2,000 reported cases and more than 20 deaths from the virus, a dramatically lower number than other countries, with the nation stalling after new cases.
