The iPhone records a 2,000-foot drop from the plane, with minor damage

In what could be the last test to survive the impact of the iPhone, a device plunged 2,000 meters from a plane – recording the free fall and showing only a few scratches, according to a report.

Documentary director Ernesto Galiotto was flying in a small plane over a Brazilian beach when his iPhone 6s fell out of his hand and fell to the ground, Independent reported.

Galiotto thought the phone was an effort, Galiotto used the Find My iPhone app to try to locate the device.

“I am confident that I will return. I thought, “If he doesn’t fall into the water, we’ll find him,” he said, according to a local G1 translation.

Galiotto’s friend Victor de Oliveir a Tostes said they were able to find the phone very quickly.

“I walked for about five minutes until I got close to my cell phone. It was in a sandy area, with the screen facing down. The brightness of the sun was reflected on the cover and I was able to identify myself in the middle of the sand in a short time “, he said.

“It appears to have been intact, working perfectly, with only part of the screen protector cracked,” he added.

The phone also recorded more than an hour of video, including obscure descendants, which Galiotto posted on YouTube, where users joked that Apple might use it in an ad.

“And this video was brought to you by Apple,” one person wrote, while another said, “These phone case ads are really out of control.”

The iPhone 6S was first launched in September 2015.
