The iPhone 13 Pro range is rumored to include the matte black option, the new anti-fingerprint coating for stainless steel edges and more

Despite the fact that we are a few months away from launch, we have already seen some rumors about the iPhone 2021. Now, as we approach the launch, new rumors indicate some design changes, new colors and new features to be expected.

According to leaker Max Weinbach (via the YouTube channel EverythingApplePro), the iPhone 13 will come with a matte black option for the Pro and Pro Max models, a new layer of stainless steel that reduces stains and fingerprints, a new rear camera design and improved noise cancellation with the formation of the telephone call bundle.

Last month, Weinbach reported that Apple plans to include a permanent display for this year’s new “iPhone” as part of its design. He now relies on that rumor, saying that in addition to a display that is always on 120Hz, Apple will probably include a matte black option for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Weinbach says the color is a “redesigned graphite,” but it is “black at the edge.” According to Weinbach, Apple is also experiencing an orange color, almost similar to bronze for the new iPhones, but says it is unlikely to launch.

The iPhone 12 line has brought back the beloved flat-edged design, as well as the stainless steel edges for the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. Since the models were launched, users have complained about the ability of edges to attract stains and fingerprints, especially for lighter color options such as Gold. Apple is trying to solve the problem with “iPhone 13” by adopting a new anti-stain and fingerprint layer, according to Weinbach.

Turning to the back, Weinbach says that the new camera module will not be completely flat, but that each lens will protrude less from the main body. In addition, the immediate launch to the camera module will be smaller, completely reducing the thickness of the camera system.

In addition to a suite of previously rumored features, the ‌ihone iPhone 13‌ Pro and 13 Pro Max camera system will include a new process for taking portrait photos. Weinbach reports that the portrait mode on the new iPhone Pro will be significantly based on LiDAR. LiDAR, currently on the iPhone 12 Pro, Pro Max and iPad Pro, is used for enhanced low-light image photos. However, Weinbach says Apple will take a step further with portrait mode this year.

The portrait mode on the new iPhones will be reviewed a lot. It will now rely heavily on a new process that combines both lens and LiDAR data. LiDAR will be used specifically for much better edge detection. Things like smaller gaps in street signs should now be detected by the new process. This is true of video portraiture as a review of the portrait mode Apple is working on for 2021 iPhones.

Weinbach says that within iOS itself, Apple will also include a new iOS mode of “image stabilization correction” that will automatically detect and keep a subject focused during a video. Given that this is software-based, it is not known if the special hardware in the 2021 iPhones activates this mode or if it could debut in silence in older “iPhone” models.

As for the range itself, Weinbach says that Apple intends to keep the iPhone 13 mini’s form factor of 5.4 inches in its range, despite the widespread reporting of the poor sales performance of the iPhone 12 mini. With the iPhone 13 mini, Apple is looking to improve battery life, a significant point of concern for customers who enjoy the lower form factor. Weinbach says that the battery itself will be longer and that the longer battery life will be further improved due to the efficiency of the A15 chip.

Weinbach previously said that the new iPhones will include more powerful MagSafe, astrophotography capabilities and the ability to take videos in portrait mode.

Earlier this week, images sent to MacRumors displays supposed photos of the front glass panels for ‌iphone 13hone models, showing the headphones moved to the top frame. If true, it would be the most significant change in the notch design since its debut in the “iPhone” X. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that Apple intends to move to a perforated design for some iPhone models starting in 2022.
