The iPhone 12 Pro prototype is shown in the photos

Developer Giulio Zompetti, who often presents prototype versions of Apple devices, today highlighted a prototype version of the iPhone 12 Pro.

“IPhone 12 Pro” runs an operating system called SwitchBoard, a nonUI version of the iOS 14 update that Apple uses internally. I’ve seen SwitchBoard on prototype devices before, because Apple uses it to test new features.

The prototype of Zompetti’s iPhone is in Pacific blue, which was one of the most popular colors “iPhone 12 Pro”. Given the lighting in the photo, the color looks particularly dark, but it’s probably the same shade as the final version released.

Also, the phone doesn’t seem to have visible engravings, which is probably not a surprise like the previous test version, but otherwise it seems to be similar to the “iPhone 12 Pro” released in October.

In the past, Zompetti has distributed prototype versions of the original third-generation Apple Watch and iPod touch.
