The Health Belt postpones the second day of the mass vaccine clinic at Broadmoor World Arena

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Health Belt) – At Belt Health, the largest health care system in the region, the safety and well-being of our caregivers and patients is our top priority. Due to the deteriorating weather conditions, the Belt, in partnership with CovidCheck Colorado, decided to reschedule the mass vaccination event on Sunday.

Anyone scheduled to receive their vaccine at Broadmoor World Arena on February 14 will automatically be invited to receive the first dose on February 20 at the originally scheduled time. Participants will receive an email confirmation; no need to call. The event is for guests only.

Despite the cold, Centura Health and CovidCheck Colorado celebrated the first day of the self-vaccination clinic on Saturday, vaccinating more than 2,300 people. Our resilient team of health workers and volunteers vaccinated over 268 people per hour. Those who received the vaccine on Saturday included people over 70, educators, existing Belt patients and people from disadvantaged and disadvantaged communities.

The belt remains grateful to COVIDCheck Colorado, El Paso County Health Public and all local agencies and organizations that have worked together to bring this life-saving event to our communities. We look forward to another successful event on Sunday, February 20th.
