Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham will be parents!
the Bachelor the alumni, who are already the parents of their 18-month-old daughter Alessi, announced the happy news on Instagram and in a video on their YouTube page. She is expecting her baby on the road in July 2021.
“We are pregnant! We have known for some time and we are trying to hide it,” began the father of the next clip of almost 10 minutes as a pregnant wife, who said he felt “really” sick “because of morning sickness,” he added. It’s so hard to keep a secret. “
Filming played an important role in the first months of pregnancy, including when the expectant mother found out she was pregnant. “Earlier this year, I had a miscarriage and had some problems in that area,” she said in a separate selfie clip. “We were very, very excited about having a new baby in our family. Unfortunately, that didn’t work at the time, but we just did a pregnancy test and I think it could be positive.”
The couple previously revealed in May that they had a miscarriage, which occurs when the embryo died but was not physically aborted.

Another moment of celebration they filmed was when they told their families. “Everyone is super excited,” she said.
“I’m filming this video and I’m shy in a 12-week day,” Burnham said in the video, later explaining that they will announce once they reach the 12-week point. “I had to wait all this time for my mental state to make sure everything was fine.”
Luyendyk Jr. added, “There’s been a lot of nerves in the last 12 weeks,” before his wife said, “Yeah, I thought it was going to be bad news, but then it wasn’t. I had some hope because I feel that I have some PTSD from the miscarriage I had earlier this year, and whenever my extreme nausea went away, I thought, “God, am I okay?” Call my doctor and shout, “What’s going on? Am I okay?” It was like he was talking to me from the windowsill. “
Towards the end of their video, Luyendyk Jr. thanked his fans and followers for their support. “Since the last time we had problems with our pregnancy, it’s very nice to have a smooth one so far. We look forward to all the good things that come with it,” he said.
Along with the video, they wrote on YouTube: “We can’t even begin to say how happy and grateful we are. For those of you who were here on your second pregnancy trip, you know exactly how much that means to our family. We can’t wait to start this next chapter and make Alessi a big sister! “
They also announced the baby news on Instagram. “And then 2020 has been completely redeemed!” wrote Luyendyk Jr., who tested positive for COVID-19 in November.
“It’s hard to know what to say right now. I’ve cried and stopped for the last 3 months … right now it’s no different. So so grateful,” Burnham said.
