President Luis Abinader announced that next Monday, at 10 am, in a press conference, they will report on the implementation of some programs of the National Plan for Citizen Security, “which is designed in proportion of 90%”.
The president said that this plan has not been implemented, as a large number of members of the National Police are working to implement the state of competition and special programs to stop the spread of the new coronavirus.
“Anyway, on Monday we will start announcing some of the plans, because they are part of this citizen security project,” the president explained at the end of a meeting with San Cristóbal neighborhood councils, whose members explained the main problems he has. this southern province.
He indicated that these meetings, which take place every Thursday with the various neighborhood councils, involve the director of the National Police in the issue of cases of violence, as well as other officials in the social area.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the director of the National Police, Edward Sánchez González, said that this plan, which was prepared by the Ministry of Interior and Police, is already in the hands of the Executive Branch.
