General Eduardo Alberto Then, director of the Cibao Central Regional Command, called on fans of Gigantes del Cibao and Águilas Cibaeñas to celebrate his team’s triumph in a timely manner.
General Then he recommended to the population, especially the fans of both teams, that if they want to celebrate, they should do this at home.
The teams Gigantes del Cibao and Águilas Cibaeñas will play on Monday night the seventh and last match that will define the champion of the Dominican baseball winter tournament.
The meeting is scheduled for 19:00 at the Julián Javier Stadium in San Francisco de Macorís.
“We must be restrained and celebrate at home,” the senior police officer reiterated, noting that the population should not forget that “we have a left.”
He warns that a street party can lead to a recurrence of coronavirus.
“I recommend the population to stay at home, respecting the state of time so that I do not have to see myself in the obligation to fulfill my duty”, insists General Apoi to add that “duty is the first and law enforcement is in every citizen”.
It is feared that either team will win the crucial game tonight, their fans will take to the streets to celebrate.
