The game between Mayagüez and Manati is suspended due to possible cases of COVID-19 in the winter baseball league

Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League Roberto Clemente (LBPRC) and his tournament director Carlos Berroa announced today, Sunday, the suspension of the second semifinal match between Indios de Mayagüez and Atenienses de Manatí due to two possible positive cases in COVID-19.

As stated in the organization’s Health and Safety Protocol, both novenas will be tested on Monday and, according to the results of the same – in coordination with all parties involved – the resumption of the B series semifinal, which is 1-0 in favor of the Mayagüez Indians . Today the series was to continue in Manati.

These could be the first cases of possible infections since the beginning of the season in December.

The second game of the Serie A semifinal is on the agenda this afternoon, Sunday, when RA12 (0-1) receives Criollos de Caguas (1-0) at 15:05 on the Hiram Bithorn stadium, a match that will be televised by WAPA Deportes .
