The free update to the Blizzard Arcade collection adds Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing

Blizzard Arcade Collection Switch

If you’ve been on the fence about Blizzard Arcade Collection, now might be the perfect time to check it out.

It seems that Blizzard has listened to fan requests for a little more content and has now added two more games to its digital retro package. Yes, that’s right – on top of that The lost Vikings, Rock ‘n Roll Racing and Blackthorne, exists now The Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing. Here’s a little about both:

further The lost Vikings, The Lost Vikings 2 We find once again our three heroes Erik, Baleog and Olaf, taken away from their home and pushed into a new adventure. Accessing new abilities and along with two new allies, the werewolf Corner and the dragon Scorch, in their quest to find their way back home, our Viking heroes must overcome challenging puzzles that give a new impetus to the design of the original game.

Not a sequel, but a prequel, RPM Racing it is a time capsule that preserves the seed that would eventually blossom Rock N Roll Racing. The basics are all there: isometric perspective, different cars to choose from, the ability to make modular upgrades to your vehicle, the functionality of saving career progress and a lot of vehicle chaos. Check it out RPM Racing to take a look at one of the first games produced by Blizzard.

Along with this, the new patch added a number of new features and quality of life updates to “raise the bar” of the entire collection.

The museum now includes a gallery of design documents – revealing how the games have been translated from concepts to finished products, and there’s a new “Streamer Mode” for Rock N Roll Racing:

I also added a new one Mod Streamer for Rock N Roll Racing in the final edition and local multiplayer with 4 players, which allows you to play your game with MIDI versions of the songs, while maintaining the rocker sound of the game.

This latest game update is available now. If you don’t already own it, you can read more about the game (in its launch state) in our review or go to the Nintendo or Switch eShop website to buy your own copy for $ 19.99 / £ 16.99.
