The Frankfort couple reached the Kentucky lottery on their 30th anniversary

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – A Frankfort couple hit them at the Kentucky Lottery on their 30th wedding anniversary.

The couple wishes to remain anonymous, but the husband told lottery officials that he does not play Cash Ball 225 very often, but went to East Wood Shell on Versailles Road in Frankfort to play his Pick 3 and Pick 4 numbers when he decided to buy a 225 Cash Ball Ticket for the March 9 draw.

The next morning he pulled out the winning numbers on his phone using the lottery app to check his tickets. He checked his Pick 3 and Pick 4 tickets, but won nothing on them.

“I was like, oh, wait, I have a cash ball ticket to check,” he said. “I always look at the Cash Ball numbers first and I’m pretty sure I fit. I looked at the other number, I matched and then at the other number, I matched and then at the other number I matched. I blinked and looked at the last number, realizing that I had all the numbers, “he told the lottery officials. “I sat down,” he said.

He went to show his wife when he told her to take his glasses.

“I think I’m dreaming,” he told her.

She looked at the ticket and quite confidently, he had matched all the numbers.

“We were tickled to death,” his wife said.

He told lottery officials that they both continued to work that day.

“It was definitely not a normal working day,” he said.

He made his way to Louisville on Thursday for the lottery headquarters on Thursday, where he received a tax check for $ 159,751.42.

The couple said they have rented a house for the rest of their marriage and will consider buying a house.
