The fourth wave of Covid targets young and anxious people

As I have repeatedly complained in 2020, I should point out that the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention began late and half-heartedly to publish realistic estimates of the extent of Covid-19 in the US.

It is difficult to describe as a mistake what is deliberate, but at least the timely addition reminds us that any fourth wave will focus on people who are not around 100 million who have already been infected and thus acquired some immunity. as probably the overlap of 100 million who were vaccinated.

Which means that the fourth wave will be largely limited to unvaccinated young people who have been diligently sheltered for the entire duration and are now mixing and exposing themselves to risks in ways they did not do a few months ago.

In the same vein, the results in California, Florida, Germany, Sweden and elsewhere have any simple correlation of mandatory blockages with the successful practice of social distancing. An overwhelming conclusion is that, like Florida, whose maximum task happened long after New York or northern Italy, some places have had time to think and consider and follow more nuanced approaches to Covid’s arrival.

It is possible to find that the blocking measures came too late, are not complied with or are simply irrelevant to the choices people make about when and how to be exposed to risk.
