Comstock told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell that “he dares[s] any Republican ”to call President Trump’s comments before the riots” totally appropriate, “referring to the defense of his remarks Tuesday, his first public comments since he was banned on Twitter last week.

“I think the president should resign, but unlike Nixon, he can’t even rise to that level of doing that,” she added. “I would definitely like to use the 25th amendment, if it could be, but the indictment seems to be what it will have to be.”

“I still don’t think the president has any appreciation [the fact that] Every minute he’s there, we’re in danger, “she said, arguing that Trump is still another threat in the way he talks to his supporters, to the people who came and revolted and robbed the Chapter, and he told them “you are especially human, he has not denounced them yet. ”

Mitchell went on to ask why current and former Republicans do not put more pressure on Vice President Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment.

Comstock said he discussed the issue with people about Pence and his staff, saying they “seem to think it will take too long, even though they keep it there, because of their own concerns.”

Comstock’s comments came the same day, with three Republicans in the House announcing that they would vote for Trump’s indictment on Wednesday, including the representative.
