Former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen, informed through his Twitter profile about the death, on April 18, 2021, of his eldest son Antron, at 33 years old.
Pippen, who won six NBA champion rings along with legendary Michael Jordan and played 17 seasons, expressed his “grief” over the loss of his son, whom he said suffered from chronic asthma, which prevented him from becoming a professional player.

“It breaks my heart to share that yesterday I said goodbye to my first born Antron. We both shared love for basketball and we had countless conversations about the game, “wrote Pippen, who did not disclose the cause of his son’s death.
Pippen praised her son’s always positive attitude despite the disease, his love for the sport of basketball and the great man he had become, which filled him with “pride.”
Antron was born in 1987 and was the son of Karen McCollum, who married Scottie in 1988. The couple separated in 1990.
