The first review of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury has now been published by the Japanese publication, Famitsu. The verdict comes just over a week before the official launch of the game.
Famitsu’s scoring system has four different reviewers rating the game out of ten; In this case, the reviewers of the magazine opted for scores of nine, nine, eight and ten, resulting in an overall score of 36/40 (thanks, Ryokutya2089 / VGC).
As mentioned by VGC, Famitsu gave the original Wii U version of Super Mario 3D World a score of 38/40, a slightly higher score than the release gave the new Switch game. It seems that the review calls the Fury Bowser mode “very fun”, while praising the challenge and playback of the new mode and the online functionality offered in the basic game.
We’ll have our own review of the game for you a little closer to the launch of the game, so make sure you stay up to date to read our thoughts. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury launches exclusively on the Switch on February 12 – and you can pre-order it now.
