Pedro Alamillos recently joined the Ceuta University Hospital under a royal decree allowing retired health professionals (doctors, nurses and other staff) to join the active public sector service.
“I come to help and do a little and work with my colleagues who are saturated,” says the preventive worker who will work with Julíán Domínguez. “We retirees were reinstated, because a decree allowing this came out in February,” the specialist recalled. 
Alamillos was head of the clinical unit in Jerez de la Frontera until 2018, the year he retired. He is the first retired doctor to join HUCE.
