Jumanji star and comedian Kevin Hart has been signed to play the role of Roland in the future Border countries film conform The Hollywood Reporter. Yes, I don’t understand either.
Border countries is directed by horror master Eli Roth, based on a screenplay by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin. Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox, and Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, are executive producers.
“I’m excited to work with Kevin,” Roth said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Border countries it’s a different kind of role for him and we’re thrilled to delight the audience with a part of Kevin they’ve never seen before. It will be an amazing Roland. ”
Hart is the second actor to join Border countries distributed after Cate Blanchett, who will play Siren Firestarter Lilith despite my colleague Luke Plunkett pleads otherwise.
It’s not really my cup of tea, but even fans of the little comedian have to admit that Hart is a strange choice for Roland, a stacked stoic mercenary who often acts like the right man in the bizarre plots of the games.
