The eldest son of the Bulls legend, Scottie Pippen, dies at the age of 33

Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen’s eldest son died Sunday at the age of 33, the former player revealed on his Twitter profile.

“It breaks my heart to share that yesterday I said goodbye to my first born Antron. We both shared a love for basketball and had countless conversations about the game,” wrote Pippen, who played 17 NBA seasons and won six championship rings with Michael Jordan.

“Antron suffered from chronic asthma and, if he didn’t have it, I really think he would have reached the NBA. However, he never let it put him off: Antron stayed positive and worked hard and I’m so proud of the man he was in. “He converted,” continued Pippen, 55.

Antron was born in 1987 to Karen McCollum, who married Scottie in 1988. The couple separated in 1990.

Pippen did not disclose the cause of death.

Antron played basketball at Texas A&M International University.
