The dog bites a child under 3 in Lajas

Authorities reported that a 3-year-old boy was bitten by a dog, a pit bull, in the events that took place last night, Wednesday, in the Papayo neighborhood of Lajas.

According to police, the minor was taken to La Concepción de San Germán Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fractured right collarbone, four broken ribs, a perforated lung, a fractured skull and required sutures in various parts of the body.

The boy was transported to Río Piedras Medical Center.

This case was sent to the Sexual Crimes Division of the CIC Mayagüez, and Agent Nieves, from the Technical Services, worked on the spot.
