The story of Woody Allen’s notorious relationship with Mia Farrow and their family will be explored in a four-part documentary on HBO.

Directed by Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering, Oscar-nominated documentaries, the series “Allen v. Farrow” delves into one of the most public scandals in Hollywood – the accusation that Allen sexually abused his adopted daughter, Dylan, for 7 years. Allen has repeatedly denied the accusation.

In the bitter custody battle that followed, it was revealed that Allen had an affair with Farrow Soon-Yi Previn’s adopted daughter. Allen eventually married Previn.

HBO will debut the first episode of the series on February 21, with new installments airing in the following Sundays.

The series is reminiscent of HBO’s involvement in Michael Jackson’s documentary “Leaving Neverland,” as both were secretly shot. Jackson had been charged with pedophilia before his death in 2009. He denied the allegations.
