According to the report, The 58-year-old had arrived on Air Europa Flight 088, when, together with other colleagues, she entered the customs room and was suddenly attacked by a dog.

The director of public health services at the airport, Rafael Tejada, explained that the woman a tetanus vaccine was given and the wounds caused by the animal were washed away.

He also added that the canine unit had all its vaccinations in place and was sent to quarantine for ten days.

As for the flight attendant, he said he preferred to return to Spain with the same flight that arrived in the country. The accident occurred at the B-2 terminal of Las Américas International Airport on January 1 this year.

He said he sent a report to the Spanish Public Health Epidemiologist to follow up on the woman’s case.
