The buyer of long-lasting used smartphones, Gazelle, has announced the future end of its exchange program, which accepts old iPhones, iPads and people’s Macs in exchange for cash.
The company disclosed the news via email to customers, explaining that it will no longer offer the exchange option from February 1, 2021. Customers have until January 31 to get an offer and complete an exchange of transactions, in time. what anyone has already initiated an exchange, can be expected to continue as normal.

In the future, Gazelle plans to focus on its in-store ecoATM kiosks, which offer instant cash for devices, although it usually doesn’t offer as much in return as customers would receive through traditional trading programs.
EcoATMs can be found in more than 4,000 locations in the United States, and the company says the kiosks have collected more than 25 million devices, which equates to more than 6 million pounds.
