The Switch may only have one Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories in April, but the developer of the Granzella series seems to have already started working on the fifth game.
In a 2020 retrospective article on its official website, the end of a section on the fourth game discusses the fifth title. Mention how “partial planning and prototyping” for Disaster report 5 it has already started to “look forward to” more news in the future. Here is the full message:

Some of you may be saying, “All you have to say is commercials?”
According to information I have obtained from sources for which I am not able to disclose, plan and make partial prototypes Disaster report 5 it seems to have already begun.
As for whether or not “Stiver Island” is involved in the story this time … I’ll leave it for now because I’d rather not lose my job.

As Gematsu noted, it’s not the first time Granzella has teased the fifth game, but it’s the most official so far.
Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories contains a wealth of references to a fifth entry – including the ability to change the title screen to read “Disaster Report 5?“- So it’s no surprise to hear that a fifth game is on its way.
