“We want players to experience how the rest of the world feels”
Here we go again!
Final Fantasy VII Remake “Part 2.” The name alone probably strikes anger in the hearts of many fans. But the original remake garnered so much goodwill (much more than I expected) that I think many people are willing to see what Square Enix has to offer before they get up.
When it will come? Well, we don’t really know. What do we know about this? Vague wounds! This is the way of most Final Fantasy game launch programs; except XVI (so far), which fortunately has strengthened Yoshida at the forefront and in battle. Fortunately, Final Fantasy VII Remake star translator Audrey has some news for us that will come out of CEDEC + Kyushu 2020 Online.
Although much of the digital event dealt with the history of the first part (rethinking things we already knew), the second part was eventually brought into discussion. Co-director Naoki Hamaguchi intervened to say that, in terms of “goals” in mind for the second part, the team “wants players to experience what the rest of the world is like.” “The rest of the world” is the highest goal!
But, of course, with Recover Playing a bit with the timeline, producer Yoshinori Kitase believes there is plenty of room to reverse expectations. Kitase explains, “Although those who played the original game know the story, are they probably thinking about what will happen now? We want to create something that will surprise them and make them happy, that lives up to their expectations. I did something similar in Part 1. “
Hamaguchi says that’s all [they] can reveal about part 2 right now, “and the interviewer jokes that he” hopes “to experience the great field map after Midgar. Hamaguchi laughs and says that “they will take note of this. ”They confirm, however, that there is a“ new wave of staff ”coming for part 2, which, in the mind, is still partially achieved, from a distance.
Everything sounds pretty exciting and vague! As Audrey points out, it is entirely possible that Part 2 will be much shorter than anticipated. I can easily see this, because Square Enix has the ability to add all sorts of background story with Zack and Cloud, as well as new areas and mechanics that consume a lot of time.
While part 2 may not cover much of the “old FFVII narrative, “has the power to open all sorts of fresh doors. As long as it’s fun to play and Square Enix doesn’t go bankrupt before it’s over, I’ll go for a walk willingly.
