The developer Dying Light 2 admits that the game was announced too early

After a prolonged absence – and some concerns about its work environment – Techland will reveal new details about the “development process” of Dying Light 2 as part of a flow next week. Update – announced on game socialization page – it looks like it will focus more on internal issues than the game itself, although we should get a decent progress report.

Obviously, it’s been quite a while since I last saw the title in action and many have wondered what’s going on behind the scenes. However, one representative responded to a fan’s concerns, stressing that the title is “far from being in the hell of development” and was simply announced “too early”. Added: “Dying Light 2 continues to advance.”

The game was announced until 2018 and was scheduled to be released in 2020. Honestly, it still feels like free years, but maybe next week’s update will shed some light when we can expect the undead to continue.
