Next campaign book for Dungeons & Dragons, Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft, arrives on May 18 and pre-orders have been open for some time. Beadle & Grimms is also starting the action, launching its own pre-order for a special luxury $ 185 version of the campaign module that will start delivering in July. Supply with Shadowy Silver Edition of Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft go on sale Monday.
Like previous sets of boxes, Beadle & Grimm’s separates the single book into several smaller documents for easy transport. But it also adds a lot of documents, including maps for major settings, such as Lamordia, Kalakeri and Barovia. There are also three different pieces of jewelry, 40 meeting cards to make the adventure journey a little easier and lots of physical items.

A press release from Beadle & Grimm’s says this is only the second time the company has launched a set of boxes to accompany the launch of a D&D campaign. The first was the golden edition of Eberron: Rising from the Last War, which you can still find online. The other sets of boxes they launched – inclusive The legendary edition of Strahd’s Curse – all went well after the publication of the campaigns on which they are based.
