The data show an active outbreak in Colorado Spring In-N-Out with 60 positive staff cases

COLORADO SPRINGS – The latest data from the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment shows an active outbreak at the Colorado Springs In-N-Out location with 60 staff members who have tested positive so far.

The state’s website was last updated on Wednesday, reporting that 60 employees tested positive for nine people who are considered probable cases.

According to the health department, it was determined to be an outbreak on December 6.

As the building appeared crowded on Christmas Eve, with a row of people waiting by the heaters outside and a row of cars far past the building, Tia Dillon said “there may be four to five people at a time.” inside.

“I’m just happy to eat because I haven’t had it in a few years,” Dillon said after eating inside. Dillon said she was not “too worried” about the ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 among restaurant employees.

“It was very clean. Everyone washes everything as it passes, it doesn’t have a lot of people inside. It’s pretty empty inside,” Dillon said.

This location was one of two that were opened in the state just last month, with the other location in Aurora, which also has a reported outbreak with 20 positive staff members and 16 probable cases.

In-N-Out first announced plans to join the Victory Ridge project in Colorado Springs in late 2017. Along with a restaurant, development plans included a 97,900-square-foot In-N-Out Burger distribution facility and a 150,000-square-foot office building.

We are waiting for another response from the health department regarding the outbreak.
