More than 20,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were given back in Utah on Friday, according to the Department of Health – which also reported five more coronavirus-related deaths.
Vaccinations reported in previous / total day vaccinations 21,204 / 404,085.
Number of Utahns who received two doses • 99,160.
Cases reported the other day • 1,211.
Deaths reported last day • 5.
The deaths reported on Friday are • Three women have died – one over the age of 85 in Salt Lake County; one older than 85 years in Millard County and one between 45 and 64 years old in Tooele County. Two men also died, both between the ages of 45 and 64 – one in Weber County and one in Uintah County.
Hospitalizations reported last day • 335. It decreased by 14 on Friday. Of those currently hospitalized, 123 are in intensive care units – six more than on Friday.
Tests reported the other day • 8,264.
Percentage of positive tests • 14.04%. This is slightly lower than the seven-day average of 16.2%.
Totals so far • 353,700 cases; 1,733 deaths; 13,828 hospitalizations; 2,070,190 people were tested.
