Windows Insider members have encountered a problem with the latest version of Microsoft Windows 10 feature pack, which affects part of the screen cutter.

“We are now removing the ability to copy and paste a screen snippet directly into a folder in File Explorer due to an issue discovered due to feedback from Windows Insiders. We hope to reactivate this capability in a future update after we address this issue. ” Microsoft said in a blog post.

Normally, Windows 10 users have the ability to copy and paste screenshots directly to a folder on their computer or to another program, such as Slack. But Microsoft does not know what is causing the problem, so the company has disabled the feature only for Windows Insider users. Windows 10 users who are not enrolled in the program or who have not yet applied the latest feature pack are not affected.

The Snipping tool and the new Snip and Sketch are a big part of Windows 10. They are more efficient at taking screenshots and easy to navigate for users. Instead of using the Print Screen key on your keyboard and editing / saving screenshots in a photo editing program, they are all built into the tool itself. Microsoft will most likely discover and fix issues with this part of the latest version of Windows Insider before releasing updates for regular users.

Microsoft has also made some changes to the copy-paste feature in Windows 10 as a whole over the past few months. The clipboard, for example, used to store only text entries, but now saves images and HTML content, such as gifs and emojis. There is also an entire GIF section that will show trending users GIFs on the internet, and users can access their clipboard (Windows + V key) on multiple devices by enabling Sync across all devices feature in settings.
