A massive fire broke out on Friday afternoon on a cruise ship anchored off the coast of Greece.
Some smoke was seen coming out of MSC Lirica, which has been anchored in a port in Corfu since January, according to Greek news site Kathimerini.
Fifty-one crew members were on board the 2,300-capacity ship when the fire started, but no one was injured, MSC Cruises told the Post.
The fire started in one of the ship’s fiberglass lifeboats, and a preliminary investigation found that the damage was on the starboard side of the ship, MSC said.
Filming shows two lifeboats attached to the starboard side of the ship caught fire before firefighters could respond to hell.
The cruise industry has been anchored for months amid the coronavirus pandemic.
