Fans have been crying for years now to see anybody Climb the plate and try to create a modern video game Superman. Previous attempts to do so have proved weak for the most part, leading some to believe that a proper Superman game is too difficult to be correct. Well, a developer is now proving that those nayayers are wrong with their latest project.

Coming from the developer Undefeated Games, Unbeaten is a video game with superheroes in which players control a character who has powers that are very reminiscent of Superman. With the ability to fly at high speeds, destroy objects with superior force and even use laser vision, the game seems to give players the Superman experience they begged for. Perhaps the coolest part is that Unbeaten is also developed in Unreal Engine 4. This means that the title boasts destructible environments, which are especially interesting when you have these wonderful Superman-type abilities at hand.

Obvious, Unbeaten it’s not a Superman game per se, but it’s obvious that the title is based on Man of Steel. In terms of main character design, he looks a bit more like Superboy than Clark Kent. More than anything, Unbeaten seems to prove that a Superman-based video game is more than viable. If a small independent studio can create a great game like this, then imagine what an AAA developer could do.

The best part of Unbeaten is that you can play the game right now. A demo is available on Steam, which PC users can download and play immediately. Obviously, it’s not the complete experience, but it should give you a good taste of what the Undefeated Games are all about. For now, the final project is still under development and has no book launch window.
