The company will pay you $ 2,400 to remain without a screen for 24 hours

It’s hard to imagine a life without screens these days … but how about 24 hours? A whole day without social networks, emails, video games or news.

Only one company is willing to pay you $ 2,400 if you are able to spin it.

Reviews.org – a company that analyzes products and services that are designed to make your home smarter – is organizing a “digital detoxification challenge”, where lucky competitors will receive $ 2,400 to run out of technology 24 hours a day.

Anyone in the US who is over 18 and is burned out of work, doomscrolling, binging, gaming and the like is encouraged to apply for the challenge.

The challengers chosen by the company will receive a safe to store all their technology in those 24 hours, along with a $ 200 Amazon gift card to help create a “technology-free survival kit.” The challenger will select a day that works for them in a given period of two weeks, to start the program without a 24-hour screen.

Off-limit technology does not include the microwave, but includes mobile phones, tablets, smart watches, TVs, game consoles / portable gaming devices, computers or laptops, smart home devices such as smart speakers or smart vacuum cleaners, and any portable technology.

At the end of the 24-hour period, competitors will submit time reports to prove that they have not touched their screens for a full day.

Do you think you are ready for the challenge? You can apply for the 2021 digital detox challenge on Review.org right here. Applications are open until 15:00 EST on March 26, and competitors will be chosen on March 29.

It is not clear exactly how many people will be chosen to participate in the challenge.
