Santo Domingo, RD.
The Dominican College of Journalists (CDP) today asked the Catholic Church to identify the journalists it accuses of being blackmailers when it urged them to file with the College’s Disciplinary Tribunal.
Mercedes Castillo, president of the CDP, said that the institution is committed to defending ethical and socially responsible journalism and that it will not be complicit in inappropriate actions against the noble journalism profession.
“CDP executive committee calls on Father Arsenio Ferreira Rosario to reveal the names of journalists he accused of blackmailing and blackmailing public and private officials, people and businesses with false notes on social media in search of money, at the time of reading to the 7 words spoken by Jesus on the cross, Father, in your hands I entrust my soul “, says a CDP statement.
Mercedes Castillo pointed out that the immoral exercise dishonors the journalistic profession, so it is the church’s obligation to emphasize who these blackmailing journalists are, because not all journalists are unethical in journalism.
“If they are not identified and filed with the CDP Disciplinary Court, they would leave any doubt that any journalist is immoral and blackmails and neither the church nor anyone else has the right to do so,” the college president said.
