The clerk was found fatally shot in the convenient Arlington store – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Arlington police are looking for a man who is said to have fatally shot a store clerk early Sunday morning.

At about 5 a.m., a customer entered EZ Mart in block 100 of East Bardin Road and found the clerk not answering on the floor behind the counter, police said.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the store.

Police said surveillance footage from the store showed a man entering the store around 3:30 a.m., shot the victim several times and took several items from the store.

The man fled on foot to Bardin, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black man with a thin body and long hair, wearing a red baseball cap and a dark jacket and shirt.

No calls were made or no alarms were sounded from the store before the customer who found the man entered, police said.

Shortly before the shooting, another person had been in the store. Police hope to speak with the client to determine if he saw anything.

EZ Mart offered a $ 5,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect in the shooting.
