The Chinese phone maker is honoring partners with key chip suppliers after splitting Huawei

SHENZHEN, China (January 22) (Reuters) – Chinese budget maker Honor has partnered with major chip suppliers such as Intel and Qualcomm after being withdrawn from Huawei Technologies, the parent company, in an attempt to save last year, he said on Friday.

Huawei sold Honor to a consortium of 30 agents and dealers of the sub-brand in November to resume its supply of components restricted by US sanctions.

While chief executive George Zhao launched his first phone model in the division, Honor said in a statement that it now has its own offerings with some technology companies.

These include AMD, MediaTek, Micron Technology, Microsoft, Samsung, SK Hynix and Sony. (Reporting by David Kirton; Editing by Clarence Fernandez)
