NEW DELHI: Following the daily growth of new Covid-19 cases in some states, the Center on Wednesday deployed high-level multidisciplinary teams to visit 10 states that have seen an increase in infections.
The central teams will visit Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to determine the reason behind the top cases.
The teams will support states in public health measures for targeted response and Covid management, the health ministry said.
The center advised states and UTs to conduct a regular review of the emerging situation with the district officials concerned to ensure that the losses obtained so far in Covid’s management are not lost.
