The case found against the man for the sexual abuse of two minors

Secretary of Justice Domingo Emanuelli Hernández and Aguadilla District Attorney José Aldebol Colón reported that Judge Juan M. Guzmán Escobar of the Aguadilla Court of First Instance determined the probable cause of Edwin Soto Medina’s arrest for blatant acts against two minors, establishing a bond of $ 25,000.

The investigation of the case was led by prosecutor José I. Rivera Loperena in coordination with agent Mónica Ubiñas from the Aguadilla Sex Offenses Division. The events took place between June and September 2019 in Aguada, when the defendant committed misconduct with minors on several occasions.

Defendant Soto Medina was charged with two counts of Article 133 of the Puerto Rican Penal Code.

The defendant offered the bail imposed by the judge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 9, 2021.
