SAN JUAN PUERTO RICO.- You would imagine Daddy Yankee do you do anything but play reggaeton? The reality is that this was not the true dream that the famous Puerto Rican wanted for his life.
Although he was always involved in music and his father was a salsa percussionist, being a well-known singer was not his true dream. “El Cangri” wanted to become a famous baseball player.

For years, the Yankee has lived in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the world San Juan Puerto Rico, but unlike his other friends, he managed to get out of murder because of his taste for music and sports.

As the same reggaeton commented during an interview, a stray bullet pierced his leg and affected his hip when a hit man mistaken him for another person. Yankee confessed that the only one who helped him was a drug addict.
The bullet he received from a IF 47 he damaged his leg so badly that he could no longer take the bat and the ball to become a famous baseball player.
Eventually, this episode marked his life and led him to see music as a resource to move forward.
Yankee began his musical career selling his songs on the street, however, due to his perseverance, he is now one of the most successful figures in the urban genre.
