The biomutant reveals a new trailer and a controversial pre-order bonus

BiomutantThe release date of May is approaching, and the publisher THQ Nordic has released a new trailer, which presents the vibrant worlds of the game and the kung-fu-inspired action! The trailer was also accompanied by information about the game’s pre-order incentives: those who pre-order the digital release or collector’s edition will get access to the Mercenary class, which apparently has “a unique combination of benefits”. This class will eventually be available to all players in the form of DLC, but those who want it for free will need to pre-order any of these versions. Unfortunately, the standard physical version is not included in the promotion.

The latest trailer for the game can be found in the Tweet embedded below.

The pre-order bonus of the game was met with some hesitation from players looking forward Biomutant. A commentator noted that the controversy surrounding 2077. Cyberpunk it had made them hesitate to pre-order future games, which THQ Nordic said was “understandable”. Other commenters expressed disappointment that one of the game’s classes was essentially locked behind a “pay screen”, especially since the standard physical version is not included in the promotion. It’s unfortunate, but pre-order bonuses have become an industry standard, and it looks like developers and publishers will continue to rely on them as long as players are willing to submit money before launch.

The digital version of Biomutant will retail for $ 59.99, while the collector’s edition will retail for $ 119.99. The collector’s edition comes with the game, as well as a series of excerpts, including a figurine, A1 artwork on the fabric and the soundtrack. There is also an Atomic edition for $ 399, which includes those items, but changes the figurine for a diorama. It also includes a T-shirt, a SteelBook and an oversized mouse. It is not known whether or not the Atomic version will include the pre-order incentive, but we hope it will be, given the package price!

Biomutant is released on May 25 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can check out all of our previous game coverage right here.
