As you may have seen, it was previously reported that the future video game Biomutant from THQ Nordic would have launched before the end of the publisher’s fiscal year. If this were true, it would mean that the long-running title would fall on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC before March 31 this year. However, this does not seem to be the case, as an update of the original report through a clarification from the publisher has instead indicated that it will be launched in the next financial year, which starts in April.
It all comes back to an annual report last year about the title released this fiscal year, as well as a recent interview from GamesIndustry.biz with THQ CEO Nordic Klemens Kreuzer. It seems that Kreuzer had initially claimed that Biomutant would launch this quarter, which seems not to be the case.
For registration: this article previously stated that the Biomutant is to be launched in the first quarter of 2021. THQ Nordic has contacted and clarified that the game is actually scheduled for its next financial year, which starts in April. https://t.co/43ETgXOhgC

The video game, if you’re unfamiliar, is described as “a Kung-Fu fable RPG in an open, post-apocalyptic world, with a unique martial art-style fighting system that lets you mix body action, shooting and mutant ability ”. It was first announced in 2017 with several trailers and looks since then. Although initially expected to appear in 2018, it has been postponed several times.
Biomutant is released sometime in 2021 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can check out all our previous coverage of the upcoming video game here.
