The Bengals send Kenny Golladay the offer

Kenny Golladay the news cycle continues to grow. Shortly after the Giants’ visit to former Lions receiver Dianna Russini of ESPN.com came to light, the Bengals reported that Golladay had made an offer (Twitter link).

Other teams are on Golladay, after Russini, but he plans to visit New York to meet with the Giants Brass. The Bengals just saw AJ Green defect to the cardinals, but the team is also quite well positioned at the receiver.

The Bengals’ offer doesn’t seem to have moved the needle for Golladay. Cincinnati has proposed what Albert Breer of SI.com characterizes as a one-year contract, “prove it” (Twitter link). While Golladay can return to Bengal, he will continue his free agency process.

Cincinnati received a quality look Tee Higginsthe potential of last season and Tyler Boyd is signed long term. Green played on a $ 18 million franchise label last season, opening a place for Golladay to work Joe Burrow. The Bengals have used a number of high-profile receivers in recent years, from Higgins to Boyd to John Ross. The latter, a top 10 pick, agreed to the terms with the Giants this week.

Although the Bengals are not traditionally a team known for high off-season spending, they deviated from the usual course last year by signing a few big ticket agents. Golladay has come out of a season in which hip and hip disease have limited him to five games, but the 1,000-yard double receiver would certainly qualify as a brilliant addition. With the Giants running and the Dolphins tied to the four-year veteran before the market opened, this signing will not be cheap.
