The banned Uber striker says he will take Lyft. Then Lyft forbids it.

An unmasked woman who coughed at an Uber driver in San Francisco and grabbed her cell phone in a profane rage admitted that she was disrespectful, but claimed that the situation could have been avoided. (Watch the video below.)

The video of the confrontation went viral while the police are investigating. No arrests have been made since Tuesday, police told HuffPost. The names of the passengers have not been published.

According to police, the driver picked up the three women on Sunday, but ended the trip shortly because one refused to wear a mask. Then the confrontation broke out, one of the passengers coughing at the driver, snatching his mobile phone and taking off his mask, while the other two shouted blasphemies and insults.

In a video on social media spotted on Tuesday by the CBS affiliate from San Francisco, the passenger with a cough gave him the part of the story, minimizing her aggression. “All I did was take off her mask and cough a little,” she said.

“OK, yes, I’m not going to lie,” she continued. “It simply came to our notice then. I was wrong to die for this. But it could have been avoided. “

She accused the driver of trying to leave passengers in an unsafe neighborhood. “They could have waited and made sure we were safe,” she said.

She threatened to sue Uber, which in a statement on Monday called the passengers’ behavior “terrible” and banned it. Then he made an impromptu approval of Uber’s rival.

“That’s why I’m taking Lyft!” she said.

Stop doing that. Lyft banned her too.

“Although this incident did not involve the Lyft platform, the unacceptable treatment of the driver in this video forced us to permanently remove the rider from the Lyft community,” the vehicle company said in a statement to KPIX. “Driving in a pandemic is not easy. Please wear a mask, respect each other and be a good person ”.

The driver, Subhakar Khadka, said one of the women sprayed him with pepper as they left the vehicle. Khadka, 32, from Nepal, also said that the women shouted fanatical remarks because she is an immigrant.

In other videos that preceded the altercation, the women refuse to leave the vehicle until another Uber arrives, and Khadka threatens to let her go “in the middle of the highway” if they don’t get out immediately, CBS noted.
