A 64-year-old man who was found dead in a luxury New York apartment with his 95-year-old mother has been identified as an actor who played a small role in Woody Allen’s film. since 1989, Crimes and Crimes.
Law enforcement sources told the New York Post that William Wedell used Febreeze to cover the smell of his mother, Agnes’ body. Both the mother and son were discovered on Saturday when police entered their apartment in the Tate building at 535 West 23rd St in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.

William, who also won a small part in It Could Happen to You with Nicholas Cage, was identified by his sister, Julianna Wedell, 61.
Julianna told the New York Post that her mother and brother lived a “very quiet life, almost like a hermit.”

Julianna explained that their mother’s health has been declining for at least a month. William’s younger sister called the police for a health check because of their mother’s health.
“My brother mentioned that our mother’s health was declining before the holidays,” Julianna told the Post. He said he doesn’t eat, he sleeps more.
Julianna said she thought their mother’s death was “natural causes,” but her brother’s death was “shocking.”
“She may have had a heart attack, we don’t know,” she said.
Police do not believe a bad game was involved and the coroner is investigating the cause of death for both the mother and the son.
According to Julianna, her brother had moved to New York from Chicago to continue acting.

His mother soon followed and they lived in their apartment for about 20-25 years.
William took care of his mother when they died. It is also unclear whether they died from COVID-19 complications.
Julianna said her brother was responsible for commissions, which included shopping, so he could have been exposed to the virus at some point.
She told the New York Daily News that her brother “never mentioned” whether or not they were ill.
“When he talked to my sister, he didn’t cough or mention problems,” Julianna said.

She retired either in the late 1980s or in the early 1990s. She also worked as a secretary for various companies.
