Texas Rangers trade Elvis Andrus for Oakland Athletics for Khris Davis

Oakland Athletics are buying shortstop Elvis Andrus and another player in exchange for designated striker Khris Davis and a pair of potential Texas Rangers, ESPN sources confirmed.

Andrus was the oldest player on the Rangers list, where he spent 12 seasons and was the only player left since his World Series appearances in 2010 and 2011.

Andrus played just 29 games last season due to persistent back problems and hit just .194 with three home runs and seven RBIs. He is owed $ 28.5 million over the next two seasons.

Davis has 218 home careers in eight seasons with Brewers and Athletics.

The Athletic portal reported for the first time about the exchange.
