TESTIMONY OF THE TIME – Pence’s decision

NEW YORK – The rocky US election process should end this week.

On Tuesday, 5, in a second round of elections, they will be electing senators from Georgia. The Democrats need both seats to run the Senate, the Republicans only need to win one.

On Wednesday the sixth, Congress must count and validate electoral votes to officially declare the president-elect.

There are tensions around Wednesday as President Donald Trump said on Twitter, “Never deliver. I’ll see you all in Washington on January 6. “

Vice President Mike Pence will chair Congress, some lawmakers loyal to Trump could ask for the annulment of electoral votes to, in fact and rightfully so, cancel the election. Pence has two options: cancel the elections to save democracy; or legitimize the “fraud” you reported.

The future of American democracy will be decided on Wednesday, and it will all depend on Pence’s decision.
