Tensions appear to be rising between Senator Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.) and Gov. Andrew Cuomo (DN.Y.). According to an article in the New York Post on Sunday, the two have a “working relationship at best.”
A Democrat reported that “there was a huge tension” between Schumer and Cuomo in the spring over major coronavirus legislation.
Governor Cuomo has even threatened to sue the federal government after claiming that the stimulus legislation, in which Schumer was largely involved in construction, did not do enough for New York.
“If Washington does not provide the New York State with the fair share of funding, we will continue the process because I cannot represent the people of that state in good faith and I know they are hurt,” the Democratic governor said. “And know that they are being treated unfairly.”
COVID showed us the low tide in America.
He exposed the ugly one below.

In NYS, we will make sure that no New Yorker is left behind in the distribution of the vaccine.

With Senator Schumer moving the seats to the majority leadership of the Senate, he could now work harder to calm the governor.
