Tanzania rejects coronavirus vaccines and denies cases

A number of countries around the world they eliminated official coronavirus statistics, shared artificial solar perspectives on the pandemic, or suppressed reports that counteract the official narrative.

To enlarge: But no country has refused Tanzania as much as Tanzania – which not only denies having a single case, but also rejects vaccines.

  • Even North Korea, which has reported zero cases, will receive COVAX vaccines. So is Turkmenistan, which is officially devoid of COVID, but will soon launch its vaccination campaign with Sputnik V.
  • President John Magufuli says Tanzania does not need vaccines and does not work anyway: “If the white man managed to come up with vaccinations, he should have found a vaccine for AIDS, cancer and TB by now.”
  • His government instead recommended herbal remedies, steam treatments and a smoothie with ginger and onions to prevent infection.

Reality analysis: Magufuli’s COVID populism is dangerous for several reasons.

  1. Tanzanians die. In crowded hospitals, patients with oxygen give in to what will be officially recorded as “acute pneumonia,” Continent reports.
  2. The virus crosses borders. The government’s decision to refuse vaccines and make any testing and monitoring system almost impossible could be dangerous for Tanzania’s neighbors and possibly the world.

The other side: Doctors and journalists have tried to spread the word about the risks, especially anonymously because of fear of revenge, and the Catholic Church recently sounded the alarm.
