Super Smash Bros. last changes in balance tend to come in waves. Whenever developers add new content to the game, players can expect to be greeted by a handful of character adjustments to the extended list. But in the latest update, Nintendo’s makers focused on one fighter: the Wii Fit Trainer.

The only line in today’s version. Update 11.0.1 explains that “the vulnerability to landing after using the special side header of the Wii Fit trainer has decreased unintentionally, so it has been adjusted.” This concludes an exercise-based reign of terror that began earlier this month.

On March 4, the Wii Fit Trainer received what the community calls a “buff buff” or an improvement in their gameplay that was not mentioned in the official exchange log as part of the summer. 11.0.0 update. While fixing a long-running bug with the special Wii Fit Trainer header, the developers have somehow reduced the landing of motion recovery – or the time between completing the attack animation and the player being able to perform a tracking action – by more than half.

This buff gave the popular movement even more utility, especially when combined with the character’s deep breathing to increase the speed of falling. Under these conditions, Header became extremely difficult to punish for the opponent, because the user managed to recover so quickly after using it. The buff even opened some new and cool combined routes for players to learn.

As is often the case with these changes, Wii Fit Trainer users loved it, while other serious competitors hated it, but for the most part it didn’t seem to affect the results of the tournament in the few weeks it was in play. or improve the fitness instructor’s ranking in different power rankings. With or without the shadow buff, the Wii Fit Trainer is believed to be a firm fighter in the middle of the road, which is a shame for how much fun it is to watch in high-level games.

I’m very much in favor of leaving things like this for a while before adjusting it with an update, even if it was really a mistake, but I think we have to respect the vision of the developers here. I don’t think the Wii Fit Trainer was meant to have all the power.
