Summer Game Fest returns in June

Summer Game Fest IMG Cropped

As we approach the middle of 2021, more video game events begin. We already had a Nintendo Direct and a few other third-party events, and at the end of this year E3 will return in a fully digital format.

Now, to add to that, it has been announced that Summer Game Fest is back. As Geoff Keighley pointed out, it will be a “spectacular and focused global showcase” focused on the future of video games. Expect images of new games, exclusives and more.

As part of this, Double Fine’s “Double of the Devs” showcase will return and iam8bit. According to Geoff, if you are a developer with a game, you have until April 9 to submit it. There are no costs or participation fees.

“We are looking for games from small and large studios, with a special emphasis on celebrating different voices. Feel free to send us the title.”

You can get a recap of last year in our complete guide. Will you be in agreement with this year’s Summer Game Fest? What games would you like to see presented? Leave a comment below.
