Studies show that symptomatic cases decrease by 94% with the Pfizer vaccine

According to a new study, symptomatic cases of COVID-19 decreased by 94% after two doses of Pfizer vaccine.

Israel’s largest healthcare provider, Clalit, analyzed data from more than 600,000 people in what is believed to be the largest study to date in the country.

The study also found that people were 92% less likely to develop severe diseases from the virus with inoculations.

“It shows unequivocally that the Pavizer vaccine against coronavirus is extremely effective in the real world one week after the second dose, just as it was found to be in the clinical trial,” said Ran Balicer, Clalit’s director of innovation.

The shot becomes even more effective two or more weeks after the second dose, Balicer said.

Researchers at the Weizmann Institute of Science also reported on Sunday that there was for the first time a significant decline in hospitalizations and serious illnesses with Israelis aged 55 or older.
